TURQUOISE FEVER !!!

Cuando ví este vestido me pareció super original, me encanta el cruce de la espalda. El corte es un poco atrevido, pero en las noches de verano me gusta experimentar con nuevas formas y colores. El matíz del turquesa es ideal. Siempre me ha gustado, pero reconozco que esta temporada he sufrido una especie de adicción por este color. Me he retenido en un par de ocasiones porque de lo contrario habría acabado con la mitad del armario del color del mar.

Por la noche hacía fresquito, así que me puse mi nueva bomber floreada. Me encanta porque el tejido es super ligero y con tantos colores es muy fácil de combinar. El toque final lo pusieron mis divertidos pendientes con forma de cocktail, también en color aguamarina. ¿Habéis padecido alguna vez este tipo de adicción colorista? ¿cuál ha sido vuestro tono de adoración?

When I saw this dress I found it super original, I love the cross back. The cut is a bit daring, but in the summer nigths I love to experiment with new shapes and colours. The hue of turquoise is ideal. I've always liked it, but I recognize that this season I have suffered an addiction for this colour. I have retained myself a couple of times because otherwise I would have the half of my closet in the colour of the sea.

The evenings were chilly, so I wore my new flowered bomber. I love it because the fabric is super light and with so many colors is easy to combine. The final touch were my fun cocktail-shaped earrings, also aquamarine. Have you ever had this kind of  colourist addiction? What has been your adorable colour?

* NIGHT IN THE PORT *

Al atardecer estuvimos dando una vuelta por Mahón, la segunda ciudad más importante de la isla. En el Centro Histórico se encuentra la Catedral, y los alrededores están llenos de tiendas locales muy interesantes. Pero sin duda lo más relevante es el Puerto, que tiene casi 6 km de longitud. Es una maravilla ir por el Paseo marítimo, disfrutar de la gente y de los restaurantes. Como "shopping addict" que soy, no pude evitar dar una vuelta por los puestos, uno de mis momentos favoritos en vacaciones. Me encanta ver objetos artesanales, joyas exclusivas y ropa distinta a lo que solemos encontrar en los grandes almacenes a los que estamos acostumbrados. Tuve la suerte de encontrar algo que llevaba mucho tiempo buscando: un anillo de plata con una piedra de color turquesa. Os lo enseñaré dentro de poco porque a penas pude esperar un par de días para estrenarlo...

Me apetecía un look cómodo y fresquito, así que me puse un vestido de color fucsia palabra de honor, un collar con un toque flúor y mi anillo con forma de estrella, un tesoro del fondo del mar! 


In the evening we were walking around Mahon, the second largest city of the island. In the historic center is the Cathedral, and the surroundings are full of interesting local shops. But undoubtedly the most relevant is the Port, which is nearly 6 km long. It is wonderful to go for the seafront, enjoy the people and restaurants. As I am a"shopping addict", I could not avoid giving a tour of the stands, one of my favorite moments on holidays. I love to see handicrafts, designer jewelry and clothes different from what we usually find in department stores to which we are accustomed. I was lucky to find something that I had been looking for a long time: a silver ring with turquoise stone. I'll show you soon because I could barely wait a couple of days to premiere ...

I wanted a look comfortable and fresh, so I wore a fuchsia dress strapless, a necklace with a fluor touch and my star ring, a treasure of the sea!

HOLIDAYS IN MENORCA - 3rd DAY

El sábado por la mañana estuvimos descansando en la piscina del hotel. Os dejo un par de fotos desde el balcón de la habitación para enseñaros mi última adquisición del verano pasado. Después de una extensa labor de búsqueda en montones de tiendas, al final me compré este bikini en el lugar que, a priori, menos había imaginado: una tienda de ropa surfera. Normalmente no suelo entrar en este tipo de tiendas porque mi estilo en diario no es tan casual, pero cuando llega el verano, a veces entro a echar un vistazo porque siempre tienen colores super alegres y divertidos estampados. El precio de los bikinis suele ser más alto que tiendas como H&M, Blanco, pero debido a la calidad de las prendas y cómo sientan, para mí, está justificado.

On Saturday morning we were relaxing in the hotel pool. Here you have a couple of pictures from the balcony of the room to show you my latest acquisition last summer. After an extensive work of search in a lot of shops,  I finally bought this bikini in the place that, a priori, I had never imagined: a surfer clothing store. I do not usually enter these shops because my daily style is not so casual, but when summer comes, sometimes I go take a look and there are always super bright colors and fun prints. The price is usually a little bit higher than stores like H&M, Blanco, but because of the quality of the garments and how they feel, is completely justified.

Por la tarde estuvimos en la Playa de Binigaus, donde puedes encontrar aguas cristalinas, arena finísima y un paisaje paradisíaco. Una imagen vale más que mil palabras, así que os muestro dos de mis favoritas de todo el verano!

In the afternoon we went to Binigaus beach, where you can find crystalline water, fine sand, and idyllic landscape. A picture worth a thousand words, so I want to show you two of my favorites of all summer!

* WHITE NIGHT *

La segunda noche estuvimos en el lugar más especial de la isla, las Cuevas d´en Xoroi, situadas en la costa sur, sobre un acantilado con vistas al mar. Se puede visitar durante el día, conocer su historia y su leyenda. Hay quien acude a disfrutar del amanecer o la puesta de sol. Pero el mejor momento llega al caer la noche. Entonces se convierte en un lugar mágico. La escalera de acceso nos conduce a una terraza y adentrándonos en la gruta llegamos a la pista de baile, donde la música y el ambiente es ideal. En la parte que da al exterior hay un mirador donde se puede obsevar la furia del mar sobre las rocas, absolutamente espectacular!

Casulmente, la noche que estuvimos era la "Noche en blanco", de modo que era requisito indispensable llevar un atuendo de ese color. No tuve más opción que ponerme el único vestido blanco que llevaba en mi maleta. Esta prenda debe tener unos seis años. Antes era más largo y el bajo acababa en pico y con flecos. Me parecía demasiado hippy y casi no me lo ponía, así que decidí cortarlo! Que os parece el resultado?

Elegí los complementos en nude para que todo el protagonismo lo tuviera mi "new hippy" vestido de crochet.

The second night we were in the most special place on the island, the Caves d'en Xoroi, located on the south coast, on a cliff with sea sights. You can visit them during the day, know their history and legend. Some people go to enjoy the sunrise or sunset. But the best moment comes at nightfall. Then it becomes a magical place. The staircase leads to a terrace and entering into the cave we got to the dance floor where music and the atmosphere is amazing. In the outside part, there is a viewpoint where you can observe the fury of the sea on the rocks, absolutely spectacular!

By chance, the night we were in was the "White Night", so it was requisite to carry a dress of that color. I had no choice to wear than the unique white dress I had in my suitcase. I bought this garment about six years ago, before it was longer and the bottom tapers to a point and was fringed. It seemed too hippie and I hardly wear it, so I decided to cut it! What do you think of the result?

I choose nude accessories to center all the attention in my "new hippie" crochet dress.

HOLIDAYS IN MENORCA - 2ND DAY

El segundo día estuvimos por la mañana en Cala Macarella, una de las más famosas de Menorca por sus aguas cristalinas. Una de las ventajas de la isla es que las distancias son muy cortas, así que por la tarde nos fuimos a Cala Turqueta, que debe su nombre al color del agua y su fina arena. Allí estuvimos jugando a las palas, una de mis asignaturas pendientes de seguir perfeccionando!

Como las fotos están tomadas de lejos para apreciar el paisaje, he añadido un zoom sobre el estilismo tribal: bikini de leopardo, caftán semitransparente, collar de madera, pulseras de oro envejecido, anillo con piedra y sandalias de tiras trenzadas. Espero que os guste!



The second day we were in the morning at Cala Macarella, one of most famous beach in Menorca for its crystalline water. One of the advantages of the island is that the distances are very short, so in the afternoon we went to Cala Turqueta, which is named due to the colour of the water and fine sand. They were playing 'beach paddle ball', one of my pending subject to improve!

As photos are taken from a distance to appreciate the scenery, I added a zoom on tribal styling: leopard bikini, semitransparent kaftan, wood necklace, antique gold bracelets, ring with stone and sandals with plaited strips. Hope you like it!

HOLIDAYS IN MENORCA - 1ST DAY!

Ya estoy de nuevo en Madrid! Me siento un poco nostálgica por saber que ya se han acabado las ansiadas vacaciones, pero todavía queda mucho verano por delante y además tengo reservada una escapada para finales de agosto. Así que siendo optimistas, aún no es el fín. Han sido unas vacaciones estupendas en Menorca, una isla anclada en el Mar Mediterráneo, tranquila pero con mucho encanto.

Durante nuestra estancia hemos estado alojados en el Hotel Princesa Playa (muy recomendable), en Son Xoriguer. La mayoría de los días pasamos la mañana en la piscina para descansar y hacer un poco de deporte en la piscina. Por la tarde, fuimos cada día a una cala. Nos encanta ir cuando está cayendo el sol porque se soporta mejor el calor y hay menos gente en la playa. Entonces aprovechamos para darnos un baño, jugar a las palas, escuchar música, leer y pasear por la orilla.

La primera noche salimos por Ciutadella. Estuvimos dando una vuelta por el puerto y después fuimos a tomar algo en Pla de Sant Joan, donde había más ambiente de lo que esperábamos. Descubrimos un sitio muy chic llamado ONIRIS lounge. Es un espacio construido en cuatro terrazas, envuelto por el ambiente y la música chill out, donde degustar tapas griegas y cócteles de ensueño. La muralla nos introduce en un jardín espectacular y la escalera central es el acceso a las plantas superiores, cada una de ellas con una decoración singular. Nosotros estuvimos en la segunda, disfrutando de nuestro cocktel sobre un magnífico sofá. Un momento maravilloso!

Para la ocasión elegí un vestido corál que me compré el año pasado. Originalmente llevaba un cordón para atártelo al cuello y otro para la cintura, pero decidí actualizarlo cambiándolos por un aro y un cinturón rigido de color dorado. Mis sandalias doradas y el clutch con tachuelas fueron los complementos idóneos para una noche ... deluxe!


I'm back in Madrid! I feel a bit nostalgic to know that the long-awaited vacation have been finished, but there will be so much summer to comeand I have booked a trip for late August. So hopefully, it is still not the end. We have had a great holidays in Menorca, an island anchored in the Mediterranean Sea, quiet but charming.

During our stay we were at the Princesa Playa Hotel (highly recommended), in Son Xoriguer. Most of the days we spent the morning in the pool to relax and do some sport in the pool. In the afternoon, we went each day to a different creek. We love to go when the sun is falling because it easily to support the heat and there is less people in the beach. Then take the opportunity to take a bath, play 'beach paddle ball', listening to music, read and walking along the shore.

The first night we went to Ciutadella. We were walking around the port and then went for a drink in Pla de Sant Joan, where there was more night life than we expected. We found a chic place called ONIRIS lounge. This is a space built in four terraces, surrounded by the atmosphere and chill out music where you can eat Greek tapas and drink amazing cocktails. The wall takes us into an spectacular garden and central stairway access to upper floors, each one with unique decor. We were in the second one, enjoying our cocktail on a magnificent couch. Such a wonderful time!

For the occasion I chose a coral dress I bought last year. Originally it has a lace to tie around the neck and another for the waist, but I decided to upgrade changing them for a golden ring and a rigid belt. My gold sandals and studded clutch were the suitable complement for a night ... deluxe!

URBAN ANIMAL PRINT!

Al fin estoy de vacaciones! Pero antes quería despedirme con un nuevo post, el look del último día. Aunque soy diseñadora y suena muy creativo, trabajo en una oficina, así que mis estilismos de diario suelen ser "relativamente formales"

Me confieso "fashionlover", pero "fashionaddict"... no. Tener estilo consiste en saber adaptar las tendencias a tí misma y a las circunstancias. Eso sí, hay que arriesgar de vez en cuando!

En esta ocasión elegí un vestido animal print que es bastante holgado, así que le añadí un cinturón ancho de piel en color negro con una hebilla dorada. Ningún bolso podía ir mejor que mi nuevo "Michael Kors", regalo de mi chico, que es un sol. Como ya me había decidido por dos complementos en negro, opté por unas sandalias en nude para suavizar... et voilà!

Mañana nos vamos a Menorca y desafortunadamente tendré que dejar de escribir durante unos días, pero prometo seguir trabajando en la distancia y llevar siempre mi cámara para preparar nuevas entradas.

I´m finally on holidays! But before I wanted to say goodbye with a new post, the look of last day. Though I am a designer and it sounds very creative, I work in an office, so my diary looks are "relatively formal"

I confess myself as a "fashionlover", but "fashionaddict" ... no. Style consists on adapt trends to yourself and the circumstances. However, you should risk from time to time!

This time I chose an animal print dress that is quite loose, so I added a wide belt of black leather with a gold buckle. No bag could go better than my new "Michael Kors", a gift from my boyfriend, who is a love. Since I had already decided on two accesories in black, I opted for nude sandals to soften the look ... et voilà!

Tomorrow we will travel to Menorca and unfortunately I will have to stop writing for a few days, but I promise to continue working in the distance and always carry my camera to make new entries.

HOY ES EL DÍA!

Hoy es un día muy especial porque en este momento comienza esta emocionante aventura que ha ocupado mi mente desde hace mucho tiempo.

Mi nombre es Nataly y vivo en Madrid. Desde pequeña siento un irresistible poder de atracción hacia el mundo de la moda. Así que cuando me fuí haciendo mayor, decidí dedicarme a él profesionalmente. Me matriculé en Diseño de Moda (gracias al apoyo de mi familia). Después de muchas horas de esfuerzo y dedicación, acabé la licenciatura (Título Oficial otorgado por la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid)

Hace más de cuatro años, comencé a trabajar como Diseñadora en El Corte Inglés. Estuve varios años en distintos departamentos y actualmente soy la Responsable de Diseño del Departamento de Prenda Exterior de Mujer (que largo suena esto!)

La moda es una parte esencial de mi vida y de mi trabajo. Por eso me gustaría compartir mi visión sobre ella, pero también haré referencia a algunas otras aficiones como viajes, deporte, cine, libros, ... Me encantaría conocer vuestra opinión al respecto porque en el fondo, lo más importante de un blog son los lectores. Vosotros sois la verdadera esencia!

TODAY IS THE DAY!

Today is a special day because in this moment begins an exciting adventure that has occupied my mind for a long time.

My name is Nataly and I live in Madrid. Since I was a child, I feel an irresistible power of attraction to the world of fashion. So when I got older, I decided to work for it. I registered in Fashion Design (thanks to the support of my family). After many hours of effort and dedication, I finished my degree (official certificate awarded by Universidad Politecnica de Madrid)

Since more than four years, I started working as a designer in El Corte Ingles. I spent several years in different departments and I am currently the Head of Design Department of Women's outerwear (how long sound this!)

Fashion is an essential part of my life and my work. So I would like to share my view on it, but I will refer to some other hobbies too such as travel, sports, movies, books, ... I would love to know your opinion about it because in the deep, the most important part of a blog, are the readers. You are the true essence!
